There are a lot of golfers who want to know more and want to understand more. I formed the Association of Golf Clubfitting Professionals 18 years ago to find those answers. The AGCP members discuss this information every day. They are clubfitters and do clubfitting and club building professionally. Many things probably too technical for many but there is much that regular golfers and golf professionals can learn from their work and they experiences. Few of them have golf shops like you are used to seeing. Most have a hitting net, a launch monitor, video capability and a lot of high tech equipment to measure shafts, MOI and other things that the public and probably most Golf Professionals are not aware of. They have connected fitting systems with many, many shafts and head designs to test you with that an AGCP member designed long before the major manufacturers even had fitting carts for testing. Manufacturers learned about fitting systems when a Golf Digest Editor got a fitting from one of our members on the way to the Masters. This member became “The Golf Whisperer” in Golf Digest.
I will try to put information in the member section that golfers can understand to help you find a better golf game. You don’t need to be a Rocket Scientist to understand much of this and I will try to explain it in layman’s terms so you can. Members will have access to a great deal of video and learn about clubfitting, the golf swing and how they relate. I’m creating this Member Section in September of 2020 and it is a work in progress.
