I am an AGCP Certified Master Fitter and a Golf Digest selection as one of America’s Best 100 Clubfitters. I’ve been recommended by Tom Wishon for my online fitting ability as being better than 98% of the worlds clubfitters. Nothing beats an in person fitting by me and a few other AGCP Certified Fitters, and I’m not claiming it does, but my online clubs are the next best thing. If you don’t have a great clubfitter near you, I’m your best bet for a great custom fit set of custom built golf clubs. For most of the last 20 years I’ve been using my launch monitor and fitting golfers live and in person. Today due to health I’m fitting online. I’ve done hundreds and hundreds of fitting over the years with great success with my live fittings. Now I’m getting great success with my remote, online fittings. Using my fitting form and your videos I can do the job remotely.

From an email

I did the non-IN person fitting and I’m very pleased with the results. Clubs fit me perfectly, swing weight felt exactly what I was looking for. I gained 10 yards distance with each club. I’m 82 years old and still play a good game of golf, but I have been loosing distance and control. Roy pointed out to me that my old set swing weight was to heavy for me and the shafts were to stiff. Custom fitting by a Master Club Builder is the only way to go if I wanted to play my best golf. The time and money spent was so worth it. Roy was a pleasure to work with.

Ron has a set of Wishon EQ1-NX irons. His set is 7i, 9i, Gap Wedge, Sand Wedge, Lob Wedge built to 8 iron length with Wishon S2S Green shafts to match his swing speed. He also has Alpha RX Low Pro 7 wood and 9 wood with Wishon S2S White wood shafts to match his swing speed.

Like I said before Roy this fitting experience has been amazing and I really do enjoy the game so much and it’s been hard to find someone who is willing to take the time to give me some direction so just know I really appreciate it sir. I finally broke 90 today and it was the best day I’ve had on a golf course since I started . I look forward to getting to work and putting into practice what you are going to teach me going forward.

Wow! I am really impressed with this new driver! It is longer than the Ping! I went out this afternoon (in all that muggy heat) and played 18 by myself to check it out. It punches that ball out there and straight, too! I only hit one pull and I was trying to make it happen. I hit three balls off 18 tee and two were straight down the middle and the pull went just went down the left side and turned over right into the fairway. And the pull went about 10 yards further than the straight ones! Seriously, this driver is wonderful! Easy to hit. On number one, the first time I hit it ( I didn’t go to the driving range — too hot) I went out there a long ways, in fact, the 4 wood is what I usually hit for the second shot. I decided to use the 7 wood and that left me 140 to the green. I hit the new 5 hybrid (severe uphill) and that left me about 10 feet from the hole. Overall, I couldn’t be happier! Thanks for your patience and skill in putting the clubs together for me!

Tim

Tim is a senior who has lost some distance over the years and came to me for help. After completing his fitting form, sending his videos, and a good bit of email back and forth to clarify what he needed we got him set now. He has a custom fitted set of Wishon 769 FLA irons 7  iron – Gap Wedge with 5 & 6 EQ1-NX hybrids, EQ1-NX 4 & 7 wood and a Wishon 919 THI Driver.  He reports he hits his irons about 10 yards farther and his driver is longer than his Ping. I think that translates to him now hitting a PW to the green where he used to hit his 8 iron to the green. Farther, straighter  and more consistent too.

I have great news for you about Driver. My average drive is up to 257 yards since warmer weather has started with a handful of 300 yard drives and always in the fairway.

I have found that rhythm again and I truly believe it all centers around the length of the driver . With a longer club I was getting my hands trapped, I would come off the ball etc… Anyway I have my swing back thanks to you… All I want to do is play golf…..

Best Regards,

Wes

Wes has EQ1 irons, hybrids and fairways with Wishon 919THI driver. Wes recently responded to one of my posts on Facebook.

I just wanted to say thank you! I just shot 2 over on 9 with them first time out. I picked up a club in distance and the wedges are SO much easier to hit. I actually have confidence in the sand wedge now! The seven wood is perfect- hit three great shots with it.

I think I’d like to order a 4 wood same length as the seven and a 5 hybrid. I may need a four hybrid but I’ll wait on that one for now till I play some more.

Great job fitting!

Thanks again!!!!

Wishon EQ1-NX

Roy,

When you first started telling me about the (Wishon Sterling) single length clubs I really wasn’t interested, but the more you talked the more it made sense. Now that you made me a set I can tell you I will never go back.
I went from high 70’s to low 70’s pretty much overnight. Now being a senior helped, because I can still carry my driver about 230 yards so I get to hit a lot of short irons. And the short irons are the joy of a single length. You use the same swing for each one. It really simplifies everything. I actually holed my first shot with the sand wedge for an eagle.
If someone is at a stand still in their game I’d suggest they give single length clubs a try.

The following video was from August 2011. I received an email from Bill on in August 2012 that reads:

Hello Roy from muggy Albany, GA. I’ve been working hard on my game and wanted to let you know how it’s going. I still love my clubs and used them quite effectively a couple of weeks ago. I entered a 3 day individual tournament at Killearn CC in Tallahassee. I had a very consistent weekend and ended up winning my flight. I took home the pro shop merchandise along with a very nice trophy and some great memories. Last weekend I posted a 76 & 80 back here in Albany. I am very comfortable with my sticks now and continue to shave down my handicap.

Getting fitted was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my golf game. Thank you.

I’m coming through Columbus this soon and I’d like to stop in, say hello and take a peek at your new location.

Thanks again Roy.

Bill came to me after taking a series of lessons over a long period. He was unable to improve beyond a certain point. He read on my website that your golf clubs construction can alter your ability to swing a golf club properly. The weight of your clubs, the way the weight is distributed in your club, the length of your club, the shaft flex and shaft profile of the flex and the head design and loft of your club all have an effect on how well you can swing your golf club. The weight, length, and balance point of your club can change your swing path and swing plane. The flex of your shaft and profile of your shaft can affect your tempo, downswing transition and wrist cock release point in your swing.

When Bill got home with his clubs and went for his next lesson his swing coach was impressed that he now was able to do many of the things that he had been coached on but unable to do in the past. Bill saw an immediate improvement in his swing and the performance of his clubs. With the improvements his handicap started to go down and dropped quite a bit.

Hello Roy,

I wanted to send you a note to tell you how much I enjoy the Alpha driver you fitted me for. It has made such a difference in my game because not only do I get at least 15 yards more distance now, I’m almost always in the fairway. There are a few holes at Maple Ridge that being in the fairway is a must and this alone has helped my scores. Thanks ever so much.

I can’t wait to tell my son what a great job you did.

Fred Wadsworth Sr.

Buddy was using a 46″ driver and I cut him down to 44 and he gained about 20 yards and started hitting more fairways immediately.

Frank is was an average golfer with an average driver off the shelf. He was inconsistent and seldom hit a fairway. Frank needed a bit heavier club than his 50 gram shaft to slow his tempo down a little, with a little more loft to get more carry distance, and a bit shorter for more control. He used to miss most fairways and now he hits most fairways.
