In 2013 due to health problems that made my appearance at the golf shop unpredictable I decided to close my retail shop and retire. I constructed a fitting studio and workshop at home and continued to fit golfers and build custom golf clubs.
I only fit locals at home because I had to be able to call them the morning of the fitting if I was unable to do the work that day.
Since 2019, I could not longer do the fitting and shut down my fitting operation in person. I continue to help those who emailed or called and even fit and built clubs for a number of out of town folks, at their request, who I fit with a list of questions and interviews. The results were surprisingly good so I continue to offer this service. When someone orders online those questions are developed through those I’ve worked with over the past few years with successful results. I learned that I could help those who otherwise count not get quality fitted golf clubs.
In 2020 I know I can help golfers get great sets of fitted clubs through my online ordering and fitting process. I also started writing my Blog to provide valuable information to golfers all over about custom fitting and how they can improve their game.
Online fitting with me is not the same as in person fitting with me or any other Certified AGCP Clubfitter, but my online fitting is the next best thing if you can’t have access to a Certified AGCP Fitter. From what my customers have told me over the years my online fitting is probably better than the fitter you can find. So, interview your fitter and read Tom Wishon’s book “The Search for the Perfect Golf Club” then if you can’t find a qualified fitter near to you study my site, read all the information and order a set of custom fit clubs from me..
