A few things you might want to know about custom fitted golf clubs before you think about buying them from a store front, pro shop or off course shop.
Depending on who you go to you might be better off buying from me online. Read on to see why.
What should you expect from my custom fitted and custom built golf clubs?
More quality shots and fewer misses, and when you miss your miss will be better than you misses are now. Golf is a game of misses. Statistics over the years have shown that the best players in the world only hit about 7 perfect shots per round. Average scores on the PGA tour for the #1 player in the world is 69.5 in 2021. So the best golfer in the world only hits 10% of his shots perfectly. For what it is worth the average score for player #200 is 72.66. The average score for 18 holes for male golfers is 96. So I think it is safe to say that we miss far more shots than we hit perfectly. Therefore the better our misses are the better we play. Missing a tee shot in the light rough is far better than missing a tee shot in the trees. Right? Missing a 7 iron shot to a par 3 green over water on the front fringe is far better than missing it in the water. Right?
Where am I going with this you ask? Where I’m going is that getting a custom fitting and custom clubs isn’t going to make you hit ever shot perfect. But, it is going to make your misses a lot better than before. You are going to consistently hit more shots solid, more shots longer, more shots more accurately. You are going to consistently hit more fairways, hit more greens and when you hit the greens you are going to have shorter birdie putts. Chances are you are going to shoot lower scores as a result.
You are going to enjoy the game more because your misses off the tee will be closer to the middle of the fairway. You are going to enjoy the game more because your misses with iron shots are going to be closer to the pin than before. You are going to enjoy the game more because your misses that hit the green are going to be closer to a makeable birdie putt than before. You are going to enjoy the game more not because your best shots are going to be better, but because your misses are going to be better. You are going to hit more quality shots than before and you are going to have more “almost your best shots” in every round.

I have to have your help to determine the best lie for you. Some information you may be able to obtain from a local store with a launch monitor. I can tell you what to test and you send me the results.
I’m going to show a bit of prejudice maybe but please know that most of the claims made by OEMs and commercial brands found in stores is at least slanted and not always the whole story. I will also toot my own horn a bit too so I apologize in advance. I have been a golf pro since 1967 and back then we used some of the information below but more it was knowing some of this and watching golfers to get experience in what they might need for swing weight and length along with shaft flex. Back then we only had steel shafts in basic flexes. For the last 20 years I’ve been fitting exclusively and did not give lessons as I once did. I went to all club fitting and custom club building. Some say I’m pretty good at it.
